As Open Studios are fast approaching I have been thinking of making some new work for this year, making sure it priced perfectly for gifts! I have had some Formica sitting in a box waiting patiently for me to think of how to use it. Inspiration struck and I finally made some brooches based on military medals (something I’ve had rattling around my head for years). As always I got my trusty piercing saw out and cut out lots of shapes so I can play around with colour combinations.I have kept it nice and simple and added lovely new and vintage fabrics and they will be selling for around $20. I will be adding them to my shop next week. Now the tricky problem of how to package them!
